Why do you call yourself Rainbow777?
That is a very good question to ask! Well, I had been going through some personal
problems in my life and I had hit rock bottom. Being a Christian doesn't mean I don't have problems and it's not all airy-fairy. One day in September 2004, I was up in Scotland taking photographs of Melrose Abbey when it started to rain. I went to take cover to keep dry and
I just felt that I could not carry on with this Christian life. As I turned towards the field, there in front of me was a rainbow in
full view. I heard God saying to my heart, "John, I love you so so much, and this is my covenant to show you how much you mean
to me."
Months went past and things became worse in my personal
life. One day I said that enough was enough and that I wanted to end this. I was prepared to pack in all of my faith and life in Christ. I went to York because I needed time to get
out. I said in my heart, "I can't handle any more of this, Lord." It started to rain so I went to take cover. The rain
stopped so I went down a street in York, and there in front of my eyes was a double rainbow. It broke me. God yet again
reminded me that he loved me. I just broke down and cried. That's why I have the name of Rainbow.
So why 777? Well, 777 reminds me of the Trintry
- Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit - the Three in One, and 7 in the Bible is perfect which they are.
I hope and pray that you understand why I call myself Rainbow777.
